Joseph Novello, CPA, MBA, began his career in accounting and management consulting at Ernst & Young, Certified Public Accountants, in New York City and obtained his Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and an MBA in finance from New York University. His rich experience comes from working with American and International Fortune 500 companies as Controller, CFO, Director of Sales Operations and other positions. Since founding the Financial Training Organization in 2010, Joseph has presented his finance programs to thousands of people across the USA and Canada.

Financial Fraud for Seniors: What To Watch For
It seems that every day we hear about fraud in the news. It is especially worse, unseemly and despicable when that fraud preys on senior citizens. This interesting and informative talk will cover investment and cyber fraud aimed at the elderly. It will explain the methods that fraudsters use (via an interactive game so attendees can hypothetically experience the fraud firsthand) and share what audience members can do to protect themselves. It will also cover general investment risk to help increase overall financial awareness.
